December 4th
New and valuable from this weekend's training is almost too much to mention. I have not only had exposure and introduction to amazing web-based resources, I feel that I am proficient in some aspect of utilizing some of what I've learned right away. On the heels of my recent "Adv. Tech. in the Classroom course" What I am learning here in training is not alien or out of my comfort zone, even though some of it is absolutely new and novel.
I don't think I would have searched for and found information on sites and sources made available to us today, such as diigo, blogger.com, and sooo many others. I am thankful that this way of learning so promotes generosity and sharing of resources, rather than the competative personal stockpiling of links and sites for one's own class or purpose.
Next steps--I wish I had more time today to finish my live binder, set up my blog, in earnest, set up my personal bookmarks on diigo and to join Classroom 2.0. My plan is to try and accomplish all of these by the new year, and to share these things with my "buddy" by January and to look into possibly attending the CUE conference.
This has lit a fire and sparked an interest!!
